About Me

Dedicated Public Service in Miami-Dade

I am running for State Representative of District 107, proudly serving the people of Miami-Dade County. With a longstanding commitment to public service, I spent nearly a decade in the Florida legislature—first in the House of Representatives and then in the Senate. I’ve been a passionate advocate for education, healthcare, immigration, and affordable housing, and I’m proud to have helped bring over $125 million in funding to our community.

As a registered nurse for over 30 years and the first Haitian-American elected to the Florida Senate, I bring a unique perspective to policymaking—one rooted in compassion, healthcare expertise, and lived experience. During my time in office, I sponsored bills to expand access to medical malpractice protections, strengthen nursing education programs, and support cancer research with a $25 million funding commitment.

If you’d like to learn more about my initiatives, collaborate on community projects, or invite me to speak, I’d love to connect. I’m based in Miami, Florida, and can be reached at (786) 274-0166
